After reviewing the content for this week ‘s class one thing that stuck out to me a lot was the Universal design for learning(UDL). I like how it broke down the information . Just the mean of UDL had me hooked.
Universal:can be understood by all students Learning:1.Recognition 2.skills and strategies 3. caring and priorities Design:flexible so that everyone can use what is being learning It got me to start thinking how I run my own classes and how much flexible I give to my students. I thought I had a lot of flexibly but it was not the right type . I need to start modify my lesson so it better fits the universal learning design, so that all students have a better chance to succeed. I also learn that I need to have more engagement in my lesson which just like flexibly I thought I did but I don’t in turms of the UDL. I need to give students more options to perform a task instead of giving of an options of what the activity the class will be doing.
